AWS DevOps Engineer Rate: €100–110 per hour Location: Amsterdam (2 days onsite) Duration: 6 Months Leading Travel Platform now recruiting for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join a global technology organisation’s database-platform team. This is a hands-on, infrastructure-focused position combining Site Reliability Engineering, software development and DevOps. The team is responsible for developing and operating a large-scale platform, managing production databases on AWS and maintaining a substantial fleet of servers. Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain platform tooling and automation, primarily using Python.Operate and optimise databases and infrastructure hosted on AWS.Maintain the reliability, availability and performance of production systems.Support and improve a large-scale fleet of servers.Monitor capacity and improve platform scalability.Participate in incident management and develop long-term solutions following production issues.Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs and other reliability metrics.Reduce operational toil through scripting and automation.Manage infrastructure and deployments using Terraform.Collaborate with SREs, Software Engineers and Product Managers. Essential experience: Professional experience working specifically as a Site Reliability Engineer.Strong Python development experience.Experience with either Java or Perl.Deep knowledge of AWS.Experience operating and scaling large production systems.Working knowledge of database management.Experience with incident management, SLAs and SLOs.Strong understanding of system reliability, capacity and performance optimisation.Experience with Terraform.A broad technical background across infrastructure, DevOps and software engineering.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Desirable experience: Kubernetes or similar container-orchestration platforms.Cassandra and/or DynamoDB.Scripting and AI-agent technologies.Experience managing large fleets of servers.
