Lead Platform Engineer

We believe organisations can make better decisions when they have a clearer understanding of what is happening in the world. We have built an AI platform that uses global social data and signals to change how decisions are modelled within organisations. Following our Series A, we’re ready to take the technology to its next level and we’re looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to help us build the foundations to make that possible. We work with organisations in the financial sector, where security, privacy and control over infrastructure are fundamental requirements. Our technology must operate reliably across AWS and secure on-prem environments, making this a central part of the role rather than an occasional infrastructure challenge. You will work with a team of 40+ engineers and AI specialists, defining how our platform is designed, secured, deployed and scaled. You’ll be responsible for: Owning our platform and infrastructure strategyDesigning and operating infrastructure across AWS and on-prem environmentsBuilding and operating secure, production-grade Kubernetes environmentsBuilding secure and scalable foundations for data-heavy AI productsSupporting deployments within financial, regulated and security-sensitive environmentsEstablishing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and automation standardsStrengthening security, observability, resilience and operational readinessEnabling our software, data and AI teams to move fasterDeveloping our platform engineering capability as we grow We’re looking for someone with: Strong platform engineering, DevOps or infrastructure experienceDeep, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments — this is a crucial requirementHands-on experience with both AWS and on-prem infrastructureExperience deploying products in secure or regulated environmentsA strong understanding of security, networking and access controlsExperience building and operating scalable production platformsStrong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, containers and CI/CDThe judgement to make important architectural decisions and the ownership to deliver them Experience supporting financial institutions, Healthcare or similarly regulated customers would be highly valuable.
