Software Architect Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Take ownership of architecture for product lines within a dynamic and innovative healthcare software environment. • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across a diverse technology landscape, from desktop systems to cloud-native services. • Drive modernization initiatives, focusing on cloud-native and AI-native architectures, and document key architectural decisions and roadmaps. • Mentor engineers and leads, establish reusable patterns, and actively contribute to the architecture community, principles, and standards. • Integrate AI tooling and design systems that maximize the potential of AI within software engineering. What You'll Need • Several years of experience as a Software or Solution Architect in large, distributed SaaS or enterprise systems, with proven architectural responsibility. • A strong academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. • Deep technical expertise in modern software architecture patterns (microservices, cloud-native, security-by-design, eventing) and a broad foundation in C++, Java, Python, and cloud technologies. • Demonstrated experience effectively applying AI in software engineering, including design of AI pipelines and context engineering. • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent communication skills, a hands-on mentality, and strong problem-solving abilities.
