Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for Python Developers based in Singapore, with flexibility for partial work-from-home.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs that power HummingBird’s AI-driven talent platform.
Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient Python code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating with databases, and collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and front-end engineers to deliver new features.
Python Developers will participate in code reviews, optimize application performance, ensure security and reliability, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.
The role also includes troubleshooting production issues, writing automated tests, and supporting integration with third-party ATS/VMS and analytics systems.
Qualifications
Strong programming skills in Python and solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with external platforms.Background in Software Development using modern development workflows, version control, and testing frameworks.Hands-on experience working with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including schema design and performance optimization.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.Knowledge of AI/ML-driven products, data processing pipelines, or analytics platforms is an advantage.Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and deliver high-quality code in an agile environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
