As a Front-End Developer at Trust Payments, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our web applications. Working closely with product, design, and back-end engineering teams, you will be responsible for delivering intuitive, performant, and reliable user experiences that directly shape how our merchants interact with our platforms What We Expect of You, Day To Day: Create new features within web-based applications in collaboration with the development teamMaintain and improve the web application frameworkEnsure best practices are followed, producing clean, secure softwareFix defects and resolve feedback from the product owner with support from the wider teamWrite automated unit testsInvestigate defects reported by stakeholders and end users, identifying root causes and delivering appropriate fixesAttend and engage in team retrospectives and workshops to support continual improvementUnderstand business requirements to ensure tasks are completed in line with agile methodologyProvide estimations on tasks to the team Qualifications Required Hands-on experience developing and maintaining front-end web applications with Next.jsExperience with CSS/Sass and UI component frameworks such as MaterialUI, including themingHands-on experience developing Next.js API backends to support the front endUnderstanding of API integrations with backend servicesExperience writing automated unit tests using tools such as Jest / React Testing LibraryA solid understanding of design principles and clean code practicesUnderstanding of CI/CD pipeline environmentsA commitment to producing high-quality code that meets task requirementsUnderstanding of enterprise software development and maintenanceAbility to collaborate effectively with tech leads, developers, product teams, QA, and BAsAwareness of application security compliance and ability to raise concerns appropriatelyUnderstanding of the software product development lifecycle and test processes Desirable Professional, positive approach to work with strong communication skillsComfortable working both autonomously and as part of a teamExperience in Next.js / React application developmentKnowledge of API integrationsProficiency in TypeScript / Node.jsExperience writing unit tests using tools such as JestExperience with CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines) from an application configuration perspectiveProficiency with version control tools, particularly GitStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environmentA genuine curiosity about software development, with an interest in emerging tools and methodologies We offer comprehensive benefits to support our team members and their families' well-being.
