The role is responsible for designing and delivering Microsoft 365 solutions across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft Entra ID, working closely with customers, architects and project teams from discovery and assessment through to migration, cutover, validation and operational handover. The role also provides broader infrastructure expertise across VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure and hybrid environments, including the design and implementation of virtualisation platforms and supporting infrastructure. The Senior Consultant is expected to provide technical leadership, own delivery workstreams, engage directly with customers and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, operationally ready and aligned with business requirements Role Responsibilities Participate in and deliver Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration activities, including discovery, assessment, planning, preparation, migration execution and post-migration validation.Assist with the migration of Exchange Online mailboxes, OneDrive data, SharePoint sites and Teams between Microsoft 365 tenants.Perform pre-migration assessment and validation of users, mailboxes, domains, licensing, groups, applications and dependencies.Participating in change management, release planning, testing, production cutovers and post-implementation validation.Providing technical guidance and mentoring to Infrastructure Consultants and Engineers.Support Microsoft Entra ID identity and access configuration required for Microsoft 365 migrations, including users, groups, authentication and administrative roles.Support user cutover activities and provide technical assistance during migration and go-live windows.Contributing to pre-sales activities, technical estimates, Statements of Work, solution proposals and customer presentations where required.Developing technical documentation including High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, implementation plans, migration plans, test plans, operational procedures, runbooks and As-Built documentation.Participating in infrastructure assessments, discovery, facilitating workshops and technical design activities to understand customer requirements and business objectives.Designing and deploying virtual infrastructure environments including virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, performance monitoring, maintenance, and administration of VMware platforms.Configuring, hardening, and deploying Windows Server 2022/2025 environments in accordance with organisational standards and security requirements.Building, designing and configuring HPE/Dell PowerEdge server platforms.Supporting customer engagements by gathering technical requirements and contributing to understanding business and IT objectives.Participating in knowledge sharing and mentoring within the engineering team.Supporting additional tasks aligned with the role and team objectives as required. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with customers and internal technical teams.Ability to manage assigned tasks and deliverables independently.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to identify technical issues, risks and dependencies and escalate appropriately.Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing customer environments.Certification in virtualisation technologies such as:VCP or VCF (or equivalent hands-on experience)Working knowledge of AD & Identity Management.Foundational knowledge of:Windows and/or Linux operating systemsVirtualisation concepts (VMware)Backup & Disaster Recovery ManagementGood communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders.Willingness to learn, adapt, and work towards advanced certifications and deeper cloud expertise.
