The brewery on the Busselton Foreshore is a meeting point for locals and a must-stop-spot for any south west road trip.
Crowds find Shelter for plates, pints, and a few hours by the sea with no deadline other than the next round.
Shelter is brewed on the Busselton Foreshore and poured throughout the state, so you can drink down south wherever you are.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you’ll work across Production, Marketing, Sales and Hospitality to own Shelter’s product strategy and lead beer and beverage development from concept through to launch and ongoing performance.
We want to create beers with a clear purpose, the customer in mind and a commercial reason to exist.
You’ll help us decide what we make, what we improve, where we invest and, occasionally, what we stop making.
Key Accountabilities: What You’ll Do
You’ll bring greater structure and commercial thinking to how we develop and manage our products, ensuring our range responds to our customers, the market and new opportunities.
Own the product strategy and portfolio, including the roadmap for new and existing products.Lead product development, turning ideas into products that are ready for our customers.Improve product performance, using customer insight, market trends and commercial data to guide decisions.Build our hero products, identifying where we should focus, invest and grow.Bring the business together, keeping teams focused on common product priorities.
Experience & Skills: What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who understands products, customers and commercial outcomes.
You don’t need to come from the beer industry, but you do need to be curious, willing to learn and excited about what we do.
A genuine interest in beer, beverages and hospitality, and the curiosity to learn a new industry.Product development experience, ideally within food, beverage, FMCG or another consumer-focused industry.Strong commercial thinking, with the ability to turn customer insight, market trends and data into good product decisions.Strong project management skills, with the ability to take an idea through development and into customer's hands and fridges while managing competing priorities.The ability to bring people together, working across different teams, locations and perspectives to achieve a common goal.

The role has been designed with flexibility in mind, and both Perth and regional candidates are encouraged to apply.
Regular time in Busselton will be required to work alongside our Production, Marketing and broader management teams.
The role can be delivered on a part-time basis, and we’re open to discussing an arrangement that works for the right candidate.
