Role Description The Software Engineer III role at Unity Staffing Services’ client is based in Aurora, CO.
In this full-time role, the Software Engineer III designs, develops, tests, and maintains back-end and full-stack software solutions that support critical business and engineering functions.
Responsibilities include writing clean, scalable code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating APIs and services, and optimizing application performance and reliability.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to architectural decisions.
The Software Engineer III is also expected to mentor junior engineers, document technical work, and support continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, databases, and performance optimization.Applied expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and scalable application architectures.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field; equivalent practical experience considered.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile or Scrum development environments.Ability to analyze complex technical problems, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality code with minimal supervision.Effective communication skills, collaborative mindset, and experience working in hybrid or distributed teams.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.Prior experience in an engineering-focused organization or supporting engineering products and services is beneficial.
