About the Role Sedgman Prudentia are currently seeking a Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at our Adelaide office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of multi-disciplinary projects, including those related to minerals processing and plant optimisation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience as an Engineer in Australia.Experience in heavy industry electrical and instrumentation design, including reviewing and marking up technical drawings and providing construction and commissioning support.Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, electrical and instrumentation design specifications, detailed designs, and work packs/scopes of work.Site experience in investigations, scoping, commissioning, and contractor management.Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required for this position, with good communication skills essential for regular client interaction.Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards. Experience conducting early-stage studies for electrical and instrumentation systems, including proficiency in electrical system calculations.Ability to lead studies and projects in a discipline lead capacity. Desirable but not essential: Knowledge and experience working with heavy industry clients in minerals processing.Registered/Chartered Engineer status.Knowledge of control systems design.Experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy setting.Familiarity with process safety and machine safety.Experience with studies and (FEED). Proficiency in workshop facilitation (HAZOP).Project management skills. Expertise in the design and specification of electrical and instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas.Proficiency in hazardous areas design.
