We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer and a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Drawing Office on a permanent, staff basis, contract is on offer if that is the preference. This is an excellent opportunity for Designers with a strong background in minerals processing to contribute to the design and delivery of major projects across gold, copper and nickel operations. The Mechanical Designer will cover: Design and drafting of mechanical equipment layouts, general arrangements and structural steel interfaces for minerals processing plantsDevelopment of mechanical and equipment layouts, including crushing, screening, conveying, flotation and grinding circuitsPreparation of 3D models and 2D drawings using AutodeskCoordination with process, structural, piping and electrical disciplines to ensure design integrationProducing and maintaining equipment lists, datasheets and material take-offsSupporting site surveys, brownfield tie-ins and as-built documentation About you: Trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting or a related disciplineProven experience in mechanical design within the minerals processing or resources sectorStrong working knowledge of Autodesk and general arrangement/layout draftingSolid understanding of mechanical equipment (crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, tanks) and their integration into plant designExperience with brownfield and greenfield projects highly regardedStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplinesFor the Senior role: demonstrated experience leading design packages and mentoring junior staff What's on offer: Permanent staff position with genuine long-term career opportunities, or contract terms availableInvolvement in major projects across gold, copper and nickel operationsSupportive, collaborative Drawing Office environmentCompetitive remuneration commensurate with experience9 day fortnightRostered car parking bay If you are considering a move we would love to hear from you.
