Backend Python Developer

Company Description MATTEROOM is a LegalTech company that focuses on solutions of Finance Management, Timekeeping AI, Compliance AI in North America and Asia. Role Description The Backend Python Developer will design, implement, and maintain server-side logic for MATTEROOM’s SaaS platform, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include building APIs and microservices, integrating with third-party solutions such as QuickBooks Online, and working with databases to ensure reliable data storage and retrieval. The role involves collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and QA to refine requirements, review code, and deliver high-quality features. The developer will also monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of the codebase and architecture. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Taipei, Taiwan. Qualifications Strong Back-End Web Development skills, including building RESTful APIs and working with modern web frameworks.Solid Software Development experience, with familiarity in version control, testing practices, and collaborative development workflows.Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming concepts, preferably with Python as a primary language.Hands-on experience with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Understanding of cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies is beneficial.Familiarity with security best practices for SaaS applications and experience integrating third-party financial or business tools is a plus.Ability to work on-site in Taipei, Taiwan, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative environment.
