Who We're Looking For At TFS, we're building next-generation products that redefine mobility for millions of customers worldwide. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer — Frontend, an individual contributor who combines strong front-end engineering skills with the technical maturity to drive solutions end-to-end, influence peers, and take ownership of complex features across the stack. You're past the point of just executing tickets. You think about the system, push back when something doesn't make sense, and help the team move faster by raising the quality of everything you touch. Key Responsibilities Design and build high-quality front-end features using modern React and Next.js patterns, with a strong eye for performance and user experienceBuild and maintain backend API services that support front-end product needs, including RESTful and GraphQL endpointsTake ownership of features from design through deployment — including testing, observability, and post-launch monitoringParticipate actively in technical design discussions, contributing well-reasoned proposals and tradeoff analysisDebug and troubleshoot complex issues across the front-end and API layers — from UI rendering bugs to slow API responsesWrite clean, well-tested, maintainable code and hold a high bar in code reviewsMentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharingCollaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver impactful featuresIdentify and address tech debt, performance issues, and reliability gaps proactively What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong front-end focusSolid expertise in React and Next.js, including SSR, SSG, App Router, and client/server component patternsStrong proficiency in TypeScriptExperience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries like shadcn/ui or similarFamiliarity with state management using Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or equivalentExperience with schema validation using Zod or similar librariesAbility to design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with solid understanding of API contracts, error handling, and type safetyExperience deploying and working with front-end applications on AWS, including:CloudFront for CDN and edge cachingLambda@Edge or CloudFront Functions for serverless edge logicS3 for static asset hostingAPI Gateway + Lambda for serverless API servicesGood understanding of front-end performance: code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies (SWR, React Query), and Core Web VitalsExperience debugging across the stack using browser devtools, network inspection, and log analysisExperience with testing: unit (Vitest/Jest), component (Testing Library), and E2E (Playwright/Cypress)Clear communicator — comfortable discussing technical decisions with teammates and stakeholders Added bonus if you have Experience in the financial services, banking, or insurance industryFamiliarity with monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx) and modern build systems (Vite, esbuild)Experience with event-driven architecture on AWS using EventBridge, SQS, or SNSExposure to design system contribution or component library developmentExperience with React Native or cross-platform mobile developmentExposure to GenAI tooling integration in front-end productsAWS certifications (Developer Associate or Cloud Practitioner) What We'll Bring During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
