Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer - Cryptography for a world leading technology organization in the Raleigh Durham, North Carolina area.
The Software Engineer - Cryptography role is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite in the office.
The Software Engineer - Cryptography will design, develop, and maintain secure cryptographic solutions and infrastructure that support enterprise-grade products and services.
An ideal candidate for the Software Engineer - Cryptography role is an experienced engineer with strong expertise in Golang, Linux systems, C programming, DevOps automation, GitHub, and AI-assisted development tooling.
Responsibilities of the Software Engineer - Cryptography:
Design, develop, and maintain cryptographic services, libraries, and security-focused software solutions using Golang and C.
Build, package, and deploy software across Linux-based environments using modern packaging and distribution practices.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and GitHub-based development workflows.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, security analysis, and engineering productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
Qualifications of the Software Engineer - Cryptography:
5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on security, cryptography, or systems-level development.
Strong proficiency in Golang, C programming, and Linux-based software development.
Hands-on experience with Linux packaging technologies such as RPM, DEB, or similar distribution tools.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and GitHub.
Familiarity with AI development tooling and secure software development lifecycle methodologies.
Compensation for the Software Engineer - Cryptography includes:
