Job Description Summary Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Databricks using Python and SQLBuild and support streaming and batch workflows that process high-frequency IoT telemetry data from fleet devicesCreate and manage Delta Lake tables across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers of the medallion architectureWrite reliable, tested, and well-structured pipeline code following team standardsMonitor pipeline performance and data quality, investigate failures, and implement fixesCollaborate with senior engineers, analysts, and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver data productsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to team documentation and knowledge sharing Required Qualifications 2+ years of data engineering experienceProficiency in Python and SQLHands-on experience with Apache Spark, with preference for DatabricksFamiliarity with streaming data concepts (Kafka, Structured Streaming, or equivalent)Understanding of cloud data lake concepts and experience with Delta Lake or similar table formatsAbility to work independently on well-scoped tasks and collaborate effectively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with the Databricks platform (Workflows, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables)Exposure to IoT or time-series dataDatabricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certificationFamiliarity with Azure services (Azure Key Vault, Event Hubs, Blob Storage)Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworksBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience. Physical Demands: Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
