Our partner is looking for a Staff Fullstack Engineer based in Canada.
This is a high-impact staff-level engineering opportunity within an AI-native fintech SaaS environment focused on modern financial planning and analysis.
You will work closely with executive leadership to shape platform architecture, technical strategy, and engineering practices from an early stage.
The role combines hands-on full-stack development with significant influence over system design and long-term technical direction.
You will own complex features end-to-end while building scalable, reliable, and thoroughly tested software across the application stack.
You will also help establish engineering standards and mentor teammates as the engineering organization grows.
Collaboration spans Product, Design, Operations, and distributed engineering teams across North America and Latin America.

Accountabilities
Partner with executive leadership and engineering teammates to prioritize and execute the product roadmap.Design, develop, and take end-to-end ownership of complex software features and platform components.Build robust, scalable, maintainable, and well-tested applications across the frontend and backend.Contribute to and lead platform architecture decisions, ensuring technical choices support long-term scalability and product goals.Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and technical processes that support a high-performing and growing organization.Develop and maintain frontend experiences using TypeScript/JavaScript and React.Build and operate backend services using Node.js and scalable cloud infrastructure.Architect, deploy, and optimize services on Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.Design, model, query, and optimize MongoDB data structures for performance and scalability.Maintain strong testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and help develop a strong engineering culture.Collaborate closely with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve product functionality, usability, and reliability.Contribute effectively within a fully distributed engineering organization spanning multiple countries and time zones.
Requirements
8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years contributing to system design or software architecture.Strong full-stack development expertise with TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.Strong hands-on experience with React; candidates with balanced full-stack or frontend-leaning expertise are particularly well suited.Demonstrated proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, including the ability to architect, deploy, and operate scalable cloud services.Strong experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.A disciplined approach to software quality, with hands-on experience developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.Proven experience leading architecture decisions, establishing technical direction, and influencing engineering standards.Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and contribute to the development of high-performing technical teams.Strong ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions in an early-stage environment.Ability to collaborate effectively within a fully remote and distributed team across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
