Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure on cloud (Microsoft Azure, ELCA Sovereign Cloud). The ideal candidate has strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps best practices, and solid Linux and/or Windows system administration skills. You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to improve deployment reliability, system performance, and overall cloud maturity. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Puppet) Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of Azure environments Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-native and hybrid workloads Administer and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers in cloud (Azure, ELCA Sovereign Cloud) and hybrid environments Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and reliability Apply DevOps best practices related to version control, automation, and continuous improvement Participate in architecture design and technical decision-making Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous optimization Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps standards and documentation Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Senior DevOps / Azure DevOps Engineer Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (compute, networking, storage, identity) Solid expertise in Infrastructure as Code Terraform (required) Puppet (or similar) Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) Good Linux and/or Windows system administration knowledge Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Python) Experience with version control systems (Git) Understanding of security, networking, and cloud governance concepts Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues French fluent or native level and English at least B2 level. Nice to Have Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-900, DevOps Engineer Expert) Kubernetes CKA/CKS certifications Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS) Knowledge of configuration management and secret management practices Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices Personal Attributes Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Proactive, autonomous, and detail-oriented Excellent communication and collaboration skills Comfortable working in agile and fast-paced environments
