Position Summary
Michigan State University Police and Public Safety is seeking candidates for an Executive Staff Assistant to provide administrative support for the VP of Public Safety and Chief of Police.
Candidates will act as a point of contact with staff, administrators, executives, trustees and the public in order to facilitate meetings, appointments and calendar of events for the VP.
Other duties may include managing information flow in a timely and accurate manner and processing of internal and external communications.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education with course work in word processing, typing, shorthand, and grammar; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive University work experience in maintaining account ledgers, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software; editing, composing correspondence, taking dictation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
