Description
Due to recent and urgent expansion, Akkodis is seeking several Embedded Software Engineers to join our large dedicated Akkodis team for the next several years while supporting a major vehicle manufacturer in the Detroit Metro area to support RTOS/AUTOSAR-based embedded software development for their automotive electronic control units, including low-level driver development, BSW/SWC/RTE design, diagnostics, safety, cybersecurity, and communication protocol implementation.
Starting Pay Range: Up to $125,000/yr (salary commensurate based on experience and education levels).
QUALIFICATIONS (required):
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or a related engineering discipline.
5 years’ experience
Embedded software development experience using CExperience supporting all software layers, from low-level device drivers to applications; demonstrated expertise debugging low-level performance issues in complex embedded systems.
4 years’ experience
Developing or debugging CAN-FD communication.
3 years’ experience
Experience with AUTOSAR toolchains (e.g., DaVinci) for designing BSWs/SWCs/RTE and generating diagnostic description files.Applying ISO 26262 and ASPICE (or equivalent) standards for automotive safety-critical applications.Experience with ISO-14229 UDS protocol for automotive applications.Experience using Lauterbach debugging tools.Experience with ADAS SoCs and ADAS technologies.
2 years’ experience
Python scripting experience.Boot-time/Runtime profiling and optimization experience.Developing memory drivers for internal/external memory; emulated flash drivers mandatory; strong knowledge of wear leveling, garbage collection, page swap, redundant storage, and recovery strategies for data flash block management.Experience within Linux/QNX environments.Experience with unit testing tools such as GTest and Parasoft.Experience with Bazel build environments.Experience with inter-processor communication protocols including SPI, IPC, PCIe, SDIO, and UART.Developing or debugging Ethernet communication drivers.Applying cybersecurity concepts, chain-of-trust, and secure boot concepts.Hands-on experience using JIRA and JAMA.Experience working within Agile development frameworks.

Embedded software development experience using C++.FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS experience.Manufacturing Software support experience.Experience with DMA, shared memory concepts, and multicore BSW.Developing BIST and runtime safety check drivers based on microcontroller safety manuals.
