This position is onsite (at least three days a week) and may include occasional travel to customer sites. What You'll Do: Work in a dynamic environment, requiring professional and effective interactions and communicationsBe a developer on the front line of the research, development, design, and deployment of an existing applicationResponsible for designing, testing, coding, and developing solutions to meet customer needs; ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance, upgrade, and testing; documenting the application, service, and environment as a reference for future operations and maintenance, including version and platform upgradesParticipate in design reviews, peer code reviews, and documentation for regular software releasesConnect with other project developers to ensure efficient data flow between supporting/supported data sources, utilizing API developmentCollaborate to prototype and operationalize mission tools Qualifications Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 0 years with Ph.D.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific/engineering discipline.Ability and desire to quickly acquire knowledge of new subject matter areasExpertise in one or more of: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or similar languagesWorking knowledge of Linux, MacOS, Windows, and mobile operating systems, platforms and internalsWorking knowledge of modern computer networking technologiesExperience with DevOps and Agile development methodologies and toolsets (Git, subversion, CI/CD)Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibilityUS Citizenship Desired Relevant Skills (not required, but any are a plus): Experience in one or more of the following areas:Data Science and Data-driven AnalyticsThreat analysis and researchComputer networking protocol design and/or analysisCompute and network emulation, containerization, and virtualizationSecurity controls and authorization Experience with one or more of the following classes of tools and frameworks:Vector Packet Processor (VPP) platformData Plan Development Kit (DPDK)ELK Stack implementation (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)Flask API or similar API architectures; REST, GraphQL, gRPC, etc.Container and Orchestration solutions, including Docker and KubernetesAutomation tools, including Ansible playbooksLinux/Command Line Terminal familiarity with scripting (Bash/Python)HTML/CSS/JavaScript and related technologiesNetwork traffic generation tools, including ScapyNetwork emulation frameworks, including CORE Cloud Data Work:ETL pipeline developmentAutomation toolsContainerization and OrchestrationDatabases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDBExperience with platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform Networking Skills:Knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of IP and core IP technologiesKnowledge in basic networking and application protocols (e.g., routing, VLANs, VPNs, switching, multicast, etc.)Experience in IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, routing, encapsulation, packet analysis tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and tsharkAbility to read and understand a network infrastructure diagram and troubleshoot network issuesExperience supporting production or enterprise network environmentsExperience in the U.S. DoD/IC research communityExperience with CNO (offensive/defensive), including red teaming, network tactics, and tradecraftExperience in business development, including technical marketing, idea generation, and authoring whitepapers and proposals for new workWillingness to travel to operational sites (CONUS/OCONUS) to support operations, troubleshooting, test events, and training work. Details Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
