Must reside in California for consideration** About The Role We're hiring two Senior Software Engineers to join our Member Experience engineering team — the team that builds the products our members use every day to find care, understand their benefits, submit claims, and manage their health plans. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you'll own the full product experience, from the APIs that power our platform to the interfaces our members interact with. You'll work directly with product and design to ship features that make healthcare more accessible, and you'll use AI tools as a core part of how you build. What You'll Do Build and ship full-stack features end-to-end across our member-facing web applicationsWork primarily in TypeScript — it's our language of choice across the stackShip confidently through our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and deploy web applications on Vercel, owning your changes from pull request to productionDesign scalable systems and make deliberate architectural tradeoffs between performance, maintainability, and speed to shipBuild AI-powered member experiences — integrating LLM APIs and working with agent harnesses and frameworks (e.g., Eve, Strands) where they add real valueWrite clean, well-tested, production-grade code with a high bar for qualityPartner with product, design, and stakeholders across the business to translate requirements into great softwareContribute to engineering standards through code reviews, technical discussion, and better defaults What You'll Bring 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack ownership of production systemsDeep TypeScript expertise, with strong React and Next.js experience building modern, responsive web applicationsComfort owning deployments end-to-end — experience with platforms like Vercel and CI/CD pipelines like GitHub ActionsHabitual, fluent use of AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) as part of your daily workflowExperience building with LLMs — API integrations, agentic workflows, or frameworks/harnesses such as Eve or Strands — or a strong drive to get there quicklySolid fundamentals in system design, testing, debugging, and code reviewBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceNice to Have (Not Required) React Native experience for our mobile surfaces Familiarity with Java — we have some legacy Java services you may occasionally touch, but no Java expertise is needed for this role Experience with AWS What You'll Get Competitive salary, bonus opportunity, and equity package Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision benefitsA 401k retirement planPaid vacation and company holidaysOpportunity to make an impact at a rapidly growing mission-driven company transforming healthcare in the U.S. In taking a market-based approach to compensation, base pay may vary depending on location. Additionally, base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related skills and experience. The current expected salary range for this position is: $160,000 - $175,000.
