Senior Automation Engineer – Siemens S7-400 / PCS 7

About The Role We are hiring a Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience in Siemens S7-400 and PCS 7 to support major industrial and process-plant automation projects. The role involves gathering client requirements, preparing engineering documentation, developing PLC/SCADA applications, executing FAT/SAT, and leading commissioning and handover activities. Key Responsibilities Collect and document client requirements for process plant automation systems.Prepare Functional Design Specifications, control philosophies, test procedures, and related engineering documents.Develop PLC and SCADA applications using Siemens STEP 7, PCS 7, and WinCC.Configure and troubleshoot communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Industrial Ethernet).Execute internal testing, FAT, SAT, and site commissioning activities.Manage punch lists, resolve technical issues, and support smooth project handover to the client.Work closely with internal and client teams to ensure successful project delivery. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.5–9 years of proven experience in industrial automation with Siemens S7-400 and PCS 7.Strong expertise in Siemens engineering tools (STEP 7, PCS 7, WinCC).Solid understanding of process automation, control systems, and instrumentation.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Valid Qatar driving licence is an advantage.
