Senior Full-Stack Developer

[01] About This Role You will lead development across multiple client engagements. Day-to-day, that means writing production code, reviewing other developers’ work, scoping technical solutions during discovery, and owning integration work with AMS platforms like iMIS, Fonteva, Nimble AMS, and MemberSuite. You will not be managing people. You will be the senior technical voice on projects: the person who can look at a discovery document and tell us what is going to break, what is going to cost more than the client expects, and what the right architecture actually looks like. [02] What You Will Do Architect and build: Architect and build WordPress and Drupal sites with custom theming, plugins, and modulesIntegrate: Integrate with AMS platforms via REST APIs, middleware, and authentication layersBuild member portals: Build member portals, renewal workflows, event registration systems, and personalization logicReview and mentor: Review code, write documentation, and mentor mid-level developersParticipate in discovery: Participate in discovery: translating client needs into realistic technical scopeMaintain environments: Maintain staging environments, deployment pipelines, and post-launch support workflows [03] What We Are Looking For Experience: Seven or more years of full-stack web development experiencePHP stack: Deep expertise in PHP, WordPress (custom themes and plugins), and Drupal (8/9/10)JavaScript: Strong JavaScript (vanilla, plus at least one modern framework: React preferred)AMS integration: Experience integrating with at least one AMS platform (iMIS, Fonteva, Nimble AMS, MemberSuite, or similar)Fundamentals: Comfort with MySQL, REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelinesCommunication: Clear written communication: you can explain technical tradeoffs to a nontechnical executive director Nice to Have Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud or Fonteva specificallyAccessibility work: WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 compliance remediationDevOps experience with managed hosting platforms (WP Engine, Pantheon, Acquia)Prior agency or consultancy experience working on concurrent client engagements [04] What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with senior-level experienceFully remote, US-based: no required hours or fixed schedule as long as deliverables shipHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and paid holidaysAnnual stipend for professional development and conferencesMeaningful work: our clients are mission-driven organizations, not ad-tech startups
