The role:
My client are seeking a Network Core Network / Network Performance and Optimisation Engineer to join their team.
Offices are Central London based, with expectations being 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home.
You will need to have a valid driving license.
There will be limited travel required with the position, likely once a month to parts of mainland Europe for short trips.
The successful candidate will stem from a Telco background and have strong hands on experience around the Core Network.
You should come from either a Mobile Network Operator (MNO), Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), or Tier 1 Supplier, and will have worked largely operated in Europe.
You will have skills around as many of the following as possible:
Strong experience around Core Telco NetworksExperience working for an MNO / MVNO / Tier 1 SupplierGood understanding of Network Validation, Testing, Performance and QualityExperience with Drive Testing usefulCS (MSS/MGW, SBC, STP, SMSC, HLR, IVR)PS (SGSN/SGW, PGW, PCRF, DNS, AAA)IMS (CSCF, MRF, TAS, ePDG)Good understanding of standards and architectures (3GPP, IETF, GSMA etc.)Core Network Protocols (GTP, Gi, Sy, Gx, Gy, Ro, MAP, SIP, RTP, SMPP etc.)Working through logs to debug issues
