Software Application Specialist (UI Developer)

About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Application Software Specialist (UI Developer) to join a leading financial services organization in Toronto. This role is ideal for a highly skilled front-end developer with expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, and real-time application development. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance modern, high-performance web applications within a banking environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using ReactJS and TypeScript. Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components. Collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business objectives. Optimize application performance and support complex workflows involving large datasets. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in front-end/UI development. Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS. Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript. Experience building real-time applications. Experience developing desktop applications with ReactJS using frameworks such as Electron.js. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience working within the banking or financial services industry. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AG Grid. Experience implementing server-side grids and server-driven data tables. Experience working with large datasets in UI applications. Exposure to the AMPS messaging platform. Familiarity with FDC3 standards and protocols. Work Arrangement This position follows a hybrid work model based in Toronto, requiring onsite attendance as needed while providing flexibility to work remotely.
