Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Java/J2EE Developer to support the ongoing development, enhancement, maintenance, and improvement of a large-scale enterprise application for the client.
The selected developer will work within an Agile/Scrum environment supporting application enhancements, defect remediation, performance improvements, refactoring, user-interface improvements, data/reporting requirements, and ongoing production operations.
This position requires extensive hands-on Java/J2EE and IBM DB2 UDB experience along with recent state government development experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, maintain, and support the client's enterprise application.Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate application defects and production issues.Complete operational, defect, enhancement, maintenance, performance, UI, refactoring, data, and reporting backlog requests.Develop and deliver Java/J2EE software changes and associated technical documentation.Analyze functional requirements and translate them into appropriate technical designs.Identify impacted applications, system dependencies, capability gaps, and alternative solution approaches.Develop technical specifications covering database changes, interfaces, batch programs, application modules, and use cases.Work closely with business product owners and technical architects to ensure requirements and technical standards are satisfied.Participate in daily Scrum meetings and approximately two-week development sprints.Develop and demonstrate incremental prototypes and incorporate stakeholder feedback.Track defects, requirements, enhancements, and development work through Azure DevOps.Provide regular sprint status reporting and transparency into deliverables, risks, progress, and timelines.Maintain complete technical and system documentation.Perform knowledge transfer to existing team members for continued application support.
