Description

Client uses a tool called Documerge to print insurance contracts at the request of policyholders. Client has a tool with the same function at its foundation, Quadient Inspire. Quadient Inspire is newer and easier to maintain than the current tool. The goal of this project is to replace Documerge with Quadient Inspire. To achieve this, the project involved: Updating the COBOL code to retrieve the data necessary for printing the contract; Converting the generated flat COBOL file into JSON format and generating an XML and an XSD file to be sent to the new tool. In addition, a data encryption solution and a contract reprinting tool were developed to allow project managers and development teams to print contracts for testing purposes.
