Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated C/C++/C# Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems, with a focus on building high-quality, scalable applications using various software programming languages. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions to solve complex business challenges. Essential Job Functions: Write, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using C, C++, or C#. Work on system-level programming, application development, and automationImplement software features and modules as part of a larger application, ensuring they meet functional and technical requirementsEnsure that code is well-organized, modular, and follows the industry’s best practices for readability and maintainabilityParticipate in code reviews, both as a reviewer and reviewee, to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practicesIdentify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize code for better resource utilization, and ensure optimal performance across platformsUse debugging tools (debugger) to troubleshoot and fix issues in both development and production environmentsIdentify and resolve software bugs and technical challenges efficiently, maintaining software stabilityWork closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver successful software productsStakeholder Communication: Communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and deliver features on timeDevelop and execute tests to verify the functionality and correctness of the softwareContribute to the creation of automated test scripts for software validation and continuous integrationMaintain thorough documentation for software features, APIs, algorithms, and technical details for future reference and team collaborationContribute to the internal knowledge base and user manuals as neededStay updated on industry trends, new programming techniques, and evolving technologies to improve your technical skills Qualifications Basic understanding of C, C++, and C# programming languages along with knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts such as inheritance, polymorphism, and encapsulationFamiliarity with basic data structures and algorithms, and the ability to implement them in C/C++ or C#Exposure to Linux operating systems internalsExposure to scripting languages like python, bash etc. is a plusFamiliarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, CLion, or other C/C++ IDEsBasic Knowledge of Software Development along with tools like Jira, Perforce, Git, Swarm etcFamiliarity with debugging tools for C/C++ and C#, such as GDB, Visual Studio Debugger, or WinDbgKnowledge of unit testing frameworks like Google Test (for C++), NUnit, or xUnit (for C#)Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issuesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentA willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, or tools as needed Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with frontend technologies like React or Angular for full-stack developmentExperience with unit testing frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or MSTestFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GitExperience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and services Education: Bachelor’s degree is required in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field Light & Wonder and its affiliates (collectively, L&W) are engaged in highly regulated gaming businesses.
