Senior API Software Developer

Position Overview The Senior API Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting modern web applications and RESTful API solutions. The role requires strong experience across front-end development, API development, cloud technologies, AI/ML technologies, and modern application architectures. The successful candidate will work closely with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), translating technical requirements into secure, scalable, and production-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications.Develop detailed programming specifications and write/generate application code.Design, develop, test, debug, document, deploy, and maintain applications.Design and develop RESTful APIs and API platforms using technologies such as Apigee/APIM.Develop and support web and rich internet applications.Convert web services between SOAP and REST where required.Implement API security, authentication, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, and request/response modifications.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout development, deployment, migration, and production support.Develop front-end functionality including login, profile creation, customer notifications, and self-service registration.Build integrations with identity and authentication platforms such as Azure AD B2C and Okta.Develop and support AI-agent and AI-enabled solutions using modern AI/ML frameworks and architectures.Design and implement MLOps processes and tools in enterprise environments.Participate in Agile development activities, including Kanban/task boards.Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts.Prepare technical and solution documentation, user manuals, reports, reviews, and assessments.Present technical designs and development approaches clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Provide post-implementation support and resolve technical issues.Participate in design walkthroughs and technical reviews. Required Technical Skills Front-End & Web Development 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript.5+ years of experience with Node.js and Next.js.Expert knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and CSS frameworks.Experience with responsive web design, front-end testing, debugging, and page-load optimization.5+ years of hands-on experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).Experience with Jamstack architecture.Experience with headless Content Management Systems (CMS). API & Integration 5+ years of experience building and testing RESTful APIs.Experience designing and developing API platforms using technologies such as Apigee/APIM.Experience with API security, authentication, throttling, caching, logging, analytics, and request/response transformations.Experience with security frameworks such as JWT and OAuth 2.0.Experience creating REST API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI, YAML, or similar tools.Experience with middleware, gateways, and integration frameworks such as Mule or Camel is desirable.Experience integrating with identity and authentication platforms such as Azure AD B2C and Okta. AI / Machine Learning / MLOps 2 3+ years of experience with Multi-Agent/Agentic AI, LLMOps, MCP, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, Qdrant, and Python.Experience with ML models and frameworks such as XGBoost and TensorFlow.Experience with Airflow and PySpark.Experience with MLOps tools/processes such as MLflow and DVC.Hands-on experience developing AI agents, AI-supported systems, and production-level AI solutions using LLMs, ML, computer vision, and related technologies. Cloud & DevOps Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.Working knowledge of DevOps practices, pipelines, task boards, and deployment processes.Experience with version control and modern software development practices.
