Scout Servicesis building the technology to change that — modernizing outdated procurement workflows for property owners, managers, and service providers, with a focus on transparency, efficiency, and practical solutions that property teams actually use every day.
We're looking for an engineer who can own real problems end to end and use AI as a first-class tool, not an afterthought.
What you'll do
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end web applications powering Scout's real estate workflow solutions
• Develop and integrate front-end interfaces and back-end services across the stack
• Implement AI-powered features that make procurement faster and clearer for our users
• Build APIs, workflows, webhooks, and third-party integrations
• Partner with product and design to deliver intuitive user experiences
• Participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure reliability and security
• Help shape our technical architecture and tooling as we grow
What we're looking for
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, React, and Next.js
• A track record building APIs, workflows, webhooks, and third-party integrations
• Strong production debugging and data-migration skills
• Comfort with automated testing and cloud deployments
• An ownership mindset — from requirements through deployment and validation
• Clear communication with leadership and non-technical teams, and the ability to translate technical tradeoffs into business terms
• Highly organized and self-directed, able to track details and priorities across parallel workstreams without heavy oversight
• Professional and personable enough to represent Scout directly on integration calls and other external conversations
Nice to have
Experience with any or all of the following: Medusa.js, Elasticsearch, Redis, AWS, Stripe, accounting systems, or AI integrations.
