Intermediate Full Stack Developer

This position follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation of in-office attendance three days each week. The expected compensation range for this position is $60,000–$110,000 CAD annually, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The upper end of this range is reserved for exceptional, top-tier candidates. What You'll Do Build and maintain full stack web application features, from database models through to polished UI, while taking ownership of your work from conversation to production without needing every requirement spelled out.Work directly with consultants, executives, and client stakeholders to understand real operational problems, translate them into working software, and communicate progress clearly to non-technical audiences.Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team to define, design, ship, and review new features end to end.Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues, balancing shipping speed with code quality and architectural soundness.Move fast and adapt. Qualifications (Required) 3 to 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Web Developer, with hands-on production experience in the MERN stack .Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React (including Redux or Redux Toolkit for state management), and modern front-end practices for building large scale applications.Strong proficiency with Node.js and Express, including building and consuming RESTful APIs.Strong proficiency with MongoDB and an ODM such as Mongoose (schema design, queries, indexing).Strong proficiency with Git-based version control and collaborative workflows (branching, pull requests, code review).Strong proficiency writing unit, integration (e.g. Jest, Testing Library, or similar), and UI tests (e.g. selenium, playwright, or similar).Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.Experience using AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development, review code, and improve productivity.Experience in an Agile (Scrum / Kanban) development environment.Familiar with Mobile development using React Native.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable speaking directly with consultants, executives, and clients. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider (Azure, GCP).Experience with real-time features using Socket.IO or similar WebSocket technology.Experience with UI component libraries (e.g. RSuite, Material UI, or similar) and charting/visualization libraries (e.g. Chart.js, D3.js).Experience integrating third-party or AI APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) into production applications.Experience with Redis, caching strategies, or session/state management at scale.Experience to CI/CD pipelines and build tooling.Prior experience in a startup, consulting, or client-facing environment.Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Business Process Management (BPM), Operational Excellence (OpEx).
