About Us:- Prometheum is building the market infrastructure that brings securities onto the blockchain. Our SEC-registered broker-dealer network carries a digital asset through its entire life, from issuance and distribution to qualified custody, correspondent clearing, and secondary market trading, all within U.S. securities law. Role:- Software Engineer 2 (Full-Stack) - Full Time W2 Salary Range:- $120,000 to $150,000 + stock options Overview:- This is a role for an engineer who is ready to own how a piece of work gets done, not just do the work they are assigned. As a Software Engineer 2, you take ownership of a whole feature once Product hands it off for delivery. You break it into work the team can pick up, get it ready to build, guide it through to release, and keep stakeholders honestly informed along the way. You will work with your Product Manager on technical design and architecture, with guidance from senior engineers as you grow into that part of the job. You will be measured on what your work does for customers, not on how much of it you shipped. When something is not moving, we expect you to say so early and come with options. Our engineering team is fully remote. Responsibilities:- Own epics end to end after handoff from Product, from story writing and pointing through delivery and releaseBuild across our TypeScript/Node back end and React front end, taking on the large, complex problems in your team's scopeReport progress on your epic regularly and accurately, and raise risks before they become surprisesPartner with your Product Manager and senior engineers on technical design and architecture decisionsUse AI coding tools as a default part of your workflow, and review what they produce with the same rigor you would apply to your own codeLead company-wide demos of the work your epic deliveredReview teammates' code in a way that catches design concerns, edge cases, and test gapsTake part in all scrum ceremonies: refinement, sprint kick-off, standup, demos, and retroWork directly with Product, QA, and UX throughout delivery, not just at the handoffInvestigate and resolve issues found in QA, UAT, and production Qualifications:- 3 or more years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production softwareStrong TypeScript or JavaScript knowledge, with real depth in both Node.js and ReactA track record of carrying a substantial piece of work from ambiguous requirements to released softwareComfort with relational databases, SQL, and reasoning about data modelsExperience with microservices, Docker, and a cloud platform such as AWSAutomated testing as a habit rather than an afterthoughtHands-on experience with AI coding assistants, plus the judgment to know when their output is wrongClear written communication with a strong command of the English language, which matters more on a fully remote teamAble to reason through technical disagreements with evidence, and to update your view when the evidence shiftsAuthorized to work in the U.S. or CanadaAble to pass a comprehensive background check, which is required for this role Nice to have:- Experience mentoring or onboarding other engineersBackground in finance, brokerage, trading, custody, or blockchainExposure to regulated environments and the audit trails they requireExperience with Jira, Confluence, or similar How we work:- Fully remote engineering.
