About The Role
We are looking for a passionate Backend Engineer to join our Card Issuing Team, which is building APIs and infrastructure that enable businesses to launch and manage their own card programs across Southeast Asia.
This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable backend services, support integrations with payment providers and third-party systems, and contribute to the development of a card issuing platform.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is excited about building scalable fintech infrastructure from the ground up.
What You Will Do
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Card Issuing platformBuild and maintain high-availability scalable systems supporting card issuance and payment processingWork with third-party APIs and payment integrations for local and global card transactionsTroubleshoot and resolve system issues, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challengesSupport regression testing, integration testing, and system reliability improvementsAddress bugs, technical debt, and operational support requestsParticipate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussionsImplement security and engineering best practices across services and infrastructureBuild internal operational tools and reporting systems for platform managementSupport incident response and on-call duties when requiredCollaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and Operations teams on feature delivery and platform improvements
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field3–5 years of backend engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and operating production systemsStrong proficiency in GolangExperience building and maintaining RESTful APIsFamiliarity with microservices architectureExperience with SQL databases, preferably MariaDB or MySQLFamiliarity with Git and GitHub workflowsExperience with Docker and CI/CD pipelinesStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsWillingness to learn and operate in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, or similarFamiliarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and observability tools
