You will work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance firmware solutions that power and drive our newest relief-providing devices. What you'll do: Design, develop, and debug firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollersCollaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and hardware/firmware interfacesWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C and C++Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system validationOptimize firmware for performance, memory usage, and power consumptionTroubleshoot and resolve issues in embedded systems and field deploymentsContribute to code reviews and maintain thorough technical documentationSupport bring-up and validation of new hardware platforms What you'll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in embedded firmware developmentStrong proficiency in C/C++ programmingExperience working with microcontrollers and embedded systems (bare-metal and RTOS)Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and USBExperience using debugging tools (programmer/debuggers, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, etc.)Understanding of memory management, interrupts, and real-time constraintsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsEffective communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and take direction from senior Engineers Nice to have: Experience with ARM-based processors or similar architecturesExperience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol and Bluetooth modulesKnowledge of wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc.)Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Exposure to secure firmware development and OTA updatesExperience writing software applications (C#, Python, etc) This role reports to the Principal Software Engineer under the Product organization.
