QA Automation Engineer

Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Java and/or Python. Automate Web, API, and backend testing scenarios. Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. Execute API testing and database validation using SQL. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners within Agile teams. Identify, track, and manage defects through resolution. Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design, automation development, and quality engineering activities. Required Skills 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles. Strong hands-on coding experience in Java and/or Python. Experience with Selenium, TestNG/JUnit/PyTest, and automation framework development. Strong API testing and automation experience (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.). Good SQL and database testing skills. Solid understanding of Agile, SDLC, defect management, and QE best practices. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in BFSI or other enterprise domains. Working knowledge of AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or AI-enabled testing platforms for code generation, test automation, test case creation, and productivity improvement. Exposure to Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and performance testing tools Mandatory Skills: SDET . Experience: 5-8 Years The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
