Role Description This full-time remote System Engineer role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure to support managed services clients. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring system performance, managing servers and networks, and ensuring high availability and reliability of critical systems. The System Engineer will troubleshoot incidents, resolve technical issues, and provide technical support to internal teams and customers. The role involves contributing to systems design and architecture, supporting deployment and migration projects, and documenting configurations and procedures. Collaboration with security, operations, and support teams is expected to maintain compliance, improve automation, and optimize overall system efficiency. Qualifications Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills for planning, implementing, and optimizing complex infrastructures.Hands-on expertise in System Administration, including server management, patching, configuration, and monitoring.Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose and resolve system and network issues efficiently.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed services environments.Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and compliance standards.Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation).Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; industry certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Linux, VMware) are a plus.
