Project Description:
AMD is building a hardware-assisted security platform that uses silicon-level Performance Monitoring Counters (PMCs) and on-chip machine learning to detect advanced endpoint threats (ransomware, fileless malware, cryptojacking) at the processor layer, below OS-based evasion.
The platform collects CPU behavioral telemetry, classifies it via an ML inference engine, and exposes threat signals to security-software partners through a standardized API.
The team covers the full stack: silicon telemetry, ML training/validation, real-time inference, lab qualification and CI/CD.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and own the CI/CD platform for the AMD hardware security software stack, covering kernel drivers, ML pipelines, real-time inference components and partner SDK packaging.
Implement automated build, test, code signing and artifact promotion pipelines using modern CI/CD tooling.
Develop automated gates that validate detection rate and false-positive metrics against baseline thresholds before any model or driver change is promoted to staging or release.
Manage secure code signing workflows for kernel-mode driver packages; ensure compliance with Windows WHQL and Linux distribution signing requirements.
Build and maintain hardware-in-the-loop CI environments that run validation tests on physical AMD hardware to catch platform-specific regressions.
Integrate security scanning (SAST, dependency analysis, license compliance) into the CI pipeline.
Own developer tooling: build environments, dependency management, container images, artifact versioning and release packaging.
Define and monitor CI/CD platform SLAs (pipeline duration, flakiness rate, artifact reliability) and drive continuous improvement.
Mandatory Skills Description:
5+ years of CI/CD or DevOps engineering experience.
Deep expertise with at least one major CI/CD platform (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent).
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience managing kernel driver build toolchains (WDK, DKMS or equivalent).
Familiarity with secure software supply chain practices: code signing, SBOM, artifact provenance.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
Experience in a security software or endpoint protection company.
Familiarity with ML model CI/CD: experiment tracking, model registry and model promotion gates.
Knowledge of AMD software development toolchains or driver signing.
Experience with WHQL certification processes or Linux kernel module signing.
