Senior Java Developer

Our challenge We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Java Backend Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, modern backend frameworks, microservices, databases, and distributed systems, along with a strong understanding of system design principles. The Role Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices and design patterns.Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.Design and manage RESTful APIs and microservices.Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to continuous improvement.Develop unit and integration tests to ensure quality and maintainability.Integrate third-party APIs and external systems as required.Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with industry standards.Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices for deployment and monitoring. Requirements: You are: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in Java back-end development.Strong expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Nice-to-have: It would be great if you also had: Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Experience working with domain-driven design and event-driven architecture.Knowledge of security standards and practices such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.Experience with performance testing and profiling tools.Contributions to technical documentation, engineering standards, or open-source projects.
