DevOps Engineer Location: Dublin / Belfast / Malta Salary: Up to €90,000 / £78,000 Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite Full-Time | Permanent Gempool is partnering with a leading international technology-driven organisation to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team across Dublin, Belfast, or Malta. This is an exciting opportunity for a Platform/DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes and AWS experience to help drive cloud modernisation, platform engineering initiatives, and infrastructure scalability within a highly secure and regulated environment. The Role You will work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and optimise cloud-native platforms while improving automation, observability, and deployment processes. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) platforms on AWSSupport and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness.ioImplement and manage observability tooling across the platform using DatadogEnhance and support AWS cloud infrastructure environmentsReview, optimise, and document deployment and operational processesEnsure change management processes align with security and compliance standardsCollaborate with development teams to enable self-service platform capabilitiesSupport incident response and platform reliability initiativesAnalyse and optimise cloud infrastructure costs Required Skills & Experience 3+ years’ experience in a senior DevOps or Platform Engineering roleStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly AWS EKSExperience working with AWS ECS environmentsStrong knowledge of AWS services across compute, databases, and securityExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformHands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools, ideally DatadogStrong scripting skills using Python and/or BashGood understanding of container security best practicesExperience working within regulated or security-focused environmentsStrong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Nice to Have Experience with GitOps workflows and toolingExposure to service mesh technologies such as IstioUnderstanding of platform engineering conceptsAWS cost optimisation experienceLinux or database administration experienceExperience working within financial services environmentsAgile or SAFe methodology experience
