About The Role We're looking for someone with a general interest in technology and problem-solving; someone diligent and thoughtful. We’re looking for an exceptional person to help us continuously deliver features that provide value to our customers. Our ideal engineer would be an individual who loves to engage with interesting software problems, has significant experience with Java, is comfortable working with React and Aurora Postgres, and has a passion for full-stack development. You will thrive in a collaborative, agile environment where customer focus and ownership are key. What You'll Do... Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable & reliable codeEnsure the best possible performance, reliability and quality of the Energetiq platformContribute to development across the entire stack from the front end down (React), backend (Java) to the infrastructure that the platform runs on (AWS)Contribute to the software engineering culture here at Energetiq & KrakenMentor junior engineers via pairing, design review & code reviewParticipate in agile ceremonies and practices such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.Work as part of a team of engineers, regularly seeking feedback and growing your skills as technical professionals.
