Full-Stack Developer – Tools & Infrastructure We are looking for a versatile Full-Stack Engineer to join a growing engineering team and take ownership of the software tools and infrastructure that support day-to-day development and operations. This is a highly hands-on role covering web applications, desktop software, developer tooling, automation, diagnostics, and system infrastructure. You’ll work across multiple layers of the technology stack, developing tools that help engineers and operational teams build, test, configure, deploy, and maintain complex technical systems. Key Responsibilities Application & Full-Stack Development Design, develop, and maintain a range of software applications, including web-based dashboards, desktop clients, internal platforms, and specialist engineering utilities.Develop reliable tools for system configuration, diagnostics, firmware deployment, testing, and troubleshooting.Create intuitive interfaces that allow engineers and operators to interact effectively with complex technical systems.Contribute across both frontend and backend development, selecting appropriate technologies based on the requirements of each application. Developer Tooling & Infrastructure Develop CLI applications, automation scripts, build systems, deployment utilities, and other tools that improve engineering workflows.Build software that connects modern user interfaces with lower-level systems and hardware.Identify inefficiencies within existing development workflows and implement improvements that increase reliability and productivity.Support the configuration and maintenance of servers, networking environments, and infrastructure used to host and deploy internal applications.Help establish scalable development processes and tooling as the engineering organisation grows. Collaboration & Engineering Work closely with software, hardware, product, and operations teams to understand technical requirements and turn them into practical software solutions.Translate real-world engineering and operational problems into reliable, maintainable applications.Contribute to source control, development workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD processes.Take ownership of projects from initial concept through development, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Requirements Proven experience as a software developer with a track record of delivering software into production.Experience developing a variety of applications, such as web platforms, desktop applications, command-line tools, or engineering utilities.Background in building internal tools, developer tooling, diagnostic applications, or operational software is highly desirable.Experience with modern frontend and backend technologies, alongside languages such as C++, Rust, Python, or Electron-based technologies.Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.Strong understanding of networking, servers, and infrastructure.Strong experience with Git and GitHub, including collaborative development workflows.A practical, user-focused approach to software development, with an understanding that internal engineering teams are also end users.Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve and engineers are expected to have a broad technical remit.
