In this role you will: Be the Technical expert to translate business ideas into technical solutionsDesign, develop and implement technology solutions for business problemsEffectively find the root cause of the problem during production issues and offer efficient solutionsSuggest improvements to supported applications and systems as needed including technical and architectural trade-offsDemonstrate thorough understanding of software delivery life cycle especially CI/CD and QEBe passionate about driving teams towards high performance and a deep pride in quality craftsmanship that delights users Skills Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have: 5+ years of experience in software development and supporting complex large-scale customer facing platforms5+ years of experience as a Java developer with a preference for Java 8/Spring, web-based information technology principles, and system integration methodologies and standards.5+ years of experience in building public and internal REST APIsStrong experience with APM tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, etc. – 2 recent projectsStrong experience using Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Launch Darkly, etc. – 2 recent projectsExperience with understanding and using AI tools relevant to APIsFamiliarity with OpenID, OAUTH, TCP, SSH, SSL protocolsExperience with cloud and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes & GCP) as we aim to build self-serve products on a cloud platformSound DBMS knowledge and understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and servicesNice-To-Have Skills: FI banking experience is preferred but not requiredNice-To-Have Skills: Well-rounded knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environmentsNice-To-Have Skills: Knowledge of a variety of frameworks (server side, browser side, desktop etc.) as well as high aptitude for diving in and picking up new thingsSoft Skills Required: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are essentialSoft Skills Required: Excellent communication skills including ability to distil technical details into simple terms; ability to influence decision making across stakeholdersSoft Skills Required: Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex initiativesSoft Skills Required: Natural Problem SolverSoft Skills Required: The role requires leadership skills, hands-on technical experience, and a can-do approach towards environment automation / management and continuous improvement for efficiency and cost effectivenessSoft Skills Required: Must be reliable, proactive, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details.Soft Skills Required: Strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsEducation: Bachelors or equivalent in computer science or related field is preferred What's in it for you?
