This small, highly collaborative engineering team is building technology used by athletes ranging from local competitors to world-class sailing organizations, with aspirations for Olympic-level adoption. We are seeking a Front End Developer for a 6 month contract-to-hire, 100% remote opportunity with our direct client to help build highly interactive applications that visualize real-time and historical telemetry data. This role will focus on creating intuitive data-driven experiences, 2D/3D race replays, live race tracking, performance analytics, and AI-powered reporting tools. Only W2 employment – no C2C candidates will be considered. Responsibilities Develop modern frontend applications using TypeScript and React.Build data visualization and geospatial experiences using telemetry and GPS data.Create real-time race tracking and replay functionality.Optimize rendering performance for large-scale datasets and interactive graphics.Collaborate with backend engineers to shape APIs and data streaming solutions.Contribute to AI-powered analytics and reporting experiences. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.Strong experience with TypeScript and React.Experience building user-facing web applications.Experience with WebGL, WebGPU, Three.js, deck.gl, Canvas, or similar graphics technologies.Strong data visualization skills, particularly with time-series or geospatial datasets.Experience working with real-time data technologies such as WebSockets or SSE.Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools. Preferred Qualifications Sports analytics, telemetry, performance analytics, or race visualization experience.Geospatial rendering and GPS track handling.Experience in gaming, simulation, VFX, or other real-time rendering environments.Flutter/Dart experience.Full-stack experience with Go, TypeScript, or Rust.Experience building AI-powered product features. Compensation & Benefits LRS discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $50.00 and $75.00. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
