🚀 OpenShift Engineer - Kubernetes, GitOps & Platform Infrastructure 📍 Location: Netherlands - Remote with occasional site travel 💼 Contract: Freelance ⏱️ Start: ASAP 🏠 Working model: Hybrid Are you an experienced OpenShift Engineer looking for your next contract? We are looking for a hands-on Engineer to join a specialist Digital Services & Infrastructure team, working on the operation, development and continuous improvement of a modern Red Hat OpenShift platform. This is an opportunity to work across OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitOps and cloud infrastructure within a technically complex environment where platform stability, automation and high availability are critical. 🔧 What you'll be doing Engineering, operating and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift platformsSupporting the underlying Kubernetes infrastructureImplementing and managing GitOps-based delivery modelsWorking with CI/CD pipelines and automated deploymentsManaging Linux-based platform infrastructureSupporting networking and platform integrationsDesigning and maintaining highly available infrastructurePerforming incident analysis, troubleshooting and root-cause investigationManaging platform upgrades, changes, maintenance and lifecycle activitiesWorking with VMware infrastructureCollaborating closely with DevOps, infrastructure and development teams🛠️ Technology environment The key technologies include: 🔴 Red Hat OpenShiftKubernetesGitOpsGitLabCI/CDNexusHarborKyvernoLinuxVMwareNetworking & integrationsHigh Availability architectures 👤 What we're looking for We're looking for an engineer who can operate independently and get to the root cause of complex technical problems. You should have: ✅ Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift ✅ Solid Kubernetes knowledge ✅ Experience implementing or operating GitOps environments ✅ Understanding of CI/CD and automated software delivery ✅ Strong Linux platform administration skills ✅ Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting and incident analysis ✅ Understanding of networking and platform integrations ✅ Experience with platform upgrades, maintenance and lifecycle management ✅ A strong DevOps mindset ✅ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills ✅ The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team 🌐 Why this opportunity?
