ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced DevOps / Data Engineer who combines strong data engineering capabilities with a solid understanding of IT Service Management, ITIL and cloud-based platforms.
You are comfortable working at the intersection of technology, data, processes and business requirements, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
You should have strong hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks and Apache Airflow, together with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO
Configure, optimise and continuously improve IT Service Management platform capabilities, implementing ITIL processes, business rules and Configuration Management requirements while supporting platform users and resolving incidents and service requests.Design, develop and maintain reliable data integrations, ETL processes and scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Azure, Databricks and Apache Airflow, ensuring data quality, security, reliability and performance.Implement and manage ITSM data objects and Configuration Management business rules within cloud-based data platforms, while supporting Power BI Services, dataflows, workspaces and related data services.Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Process Owners, Service Owners and other stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions and identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and process improvement.Provide technical and platform consultancy, maintain clear documentation, improve the end-user experience and participate in an on-call rotation supporting business-critical services.
AN IDEAL PROFILE WOULD BE
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Airflow, Microsoft Azure, data integration, ETL and data pipeline development.Good understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL principles, with experience working with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Service Manager, Halo or similar and knowledge of Configuration Management / CMS concepts.Experience implementing technical or business rules within data platforms, with Power BI Services, REST APIs and SQL knowledge considered advantageous.Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable and maintainable technical solutions.A proactive and flexible professional who can work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, with enterprise or financial services experience highly valued.
Requirements: English is mandatory; HBO/Bachelor's degree level or equivalent professional experience; available for 40 hours per week and to start as soon as possible; comfortable with hybrid working in Utrecht and participating in an on-call rotation; payroll/agency employment only, with freelance/ZZP engagement not permitted.
