Mainframe Engineer

Iris client, one of their Educational Client is looking to hire Mainframe Engineer for Remote. Job Title: Mainframe Engineer Location: Remote Position Type: Right to hire Experience: 6+ years Job description: We are looking for Mainframe Engineer who has hands on experience in end-to-end reliability, performance, availability, and scalability of integrated OCI and IBM Mainframe systems. The candidate should have the experience in OCI or similar clouds (AWS/GCP/Azure) for hybrid/mainframe integration. Candidate should have strong background in COBOL batch programming and operations (JCL, utilities like IDCAMS/SORT, batch scheduling with CA-7/OPC or similar). This person will be develop automation tools and scripts to manage mainframe operations. Should be able to participate in on-call rotation for incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and blameless postmortems across hybrid environments. Need minimum of 6+ years of experience.
