Junior Project Developer – Renewable Energy | Berlin / Potsdam Focus: Onshore Wind, with wider exposure to Solar & BESS This would suit someone at an early stage of their career who already has a foundation in renewable energy and is looking for a role where they can develop into a well-rounded Project Developer. I’m supporting a growing renewable energy developer with the search for a Junior Project Developer to join its German development team, with a particular focus on onshore wind. The wider business is active across wind, solar and BESS, offering exposure to a broader renewable energy portfolio. This is a hands-on development role suited to someone who wants to build their experience across the project lifecycle. You don’t need to tick every box – the overall combination of project development knowledge, commercial understanding and willingness to learn is most important. Key Responsibilities Support the development of renewable energy projects, particularly onshore wind.Contribute to permitting and planning processes, with an understanding of the key stages and stakeholders involved.Support feasibility studies, calculations and project assessments.Develop an understanding of the commercial and financial aspects of renewable energy projects.Support spatial planning and land-use related activities.Engage with local stakeholders and develop an understanding of the political and regulatory environment surrounding the energy market.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to help progress projects.Spend regular time on-site and in the field, alongside working from the office. What I'm Looking For Some professional experience or academic exposure to renewable energy project development, ideally wind.A basic understanding of permitting, planning and spatial planning processes.Some exposure to financial modelling, feasibility assessments or project calculations.An interest in the political, regulatory and commercial dynamics of the German energy market.Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with different stakeholders.Willingness to travel regularly for site visits and work from the office.Fluent German and good English.
