Description
Nightborn is a Brussels-based Product and Tech agency of 20 people.
We build digital products for the most ambitious startups and scale-ups and SME's in Belgium: not as contractors, not as consultants, but as true product partners.

π What we do
Our clients don't come to us for code, they come to us to grow.
We start every partnership with strategic workshops to understand their business model, identify bottlenecks and define where technology creates real leverage.
Then we execute: Product Strategy, Product design, full-stack development, deployment.
Full ownership, end to end.
The result: products that scale companies, not just codebases.
Everything happens in-house: Developers, Designers, Tech Leads and Team Leads work side by side, which means fast feedback loops and no silos.
Some of the top companies we're building with :
Monizze, Vertuoza, Poppy, Karomia, MIX, Golden Palace, Press-Shop & More, Dexxter, JCDecaux
You won't be doing maintenance.
You'll ship new products and features throughout the year, across web and mobile, with real technical variety.
π» The role
As a Medior Developer, you own your features from A to Z: from technical design to deployment.
You work in a squad with a Tech Lead and a Team Lead, so you're autonomous but never alone.
Concretely, you will:
Build features across the full stack, balancing shipping speed and code quality.Understand why a feature exists before writing a line of code: what problem it solves for the client, and what impact it has on their business.Take part in technical decisions and code reviews within your squad.Work directly with designers and product peopleHelp raise the technical bar of the projects you touch.
β‘ Our stack
TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, GraphQL, GCPWe use AI tools daily in our development workflow, and we build AI-driven features for our clients.
You don't need to tick every box.
What matters is solid experience and the reflex to pick up new tools when a problem requires it.
π Who we're looking for
2 to 4 years of professional experience as an engineer, ideally in a startup, scale-up or agency environment.Real drive: You see your work as an opportunity to grow on a personal leve, you're always hungry to improve, and you never settle for "good enough." You want to be better this year than last year, and it shows.Builder mindset: clean code isn't a checklist for you, it's just how you build things that last.Business-minded: you understand how a company works.
Churn, acquisition, retention, conversion aren't abstract words for you.
You get why a feature is being built and what it changes for the client's business.Team-first: you communicate clearly, you jump in to unblock situations, and you share what you know.Product lover: you care about the "why" as much as the "how." Great code serves a great product.Languages: you speak English fluently, plus French or Dutch.Based in Belgium, able to work from our Brussels office.
π What we offer
Nightborn is at a turning point: we're scaling, expanding, and building the next chapter of the company.
Joining now means being part of that growth journey, with real room to take ownership and shape what comes next.
Compensation: a competitive salary package with extra-legal benefits (Meal Vouchers, Mobility Budget), aligned with your experience.Growth: Constant exposure to new tech, design and product challenges.
How far you go is up to you: the path to senior is open for those who take it.Impact: your work directly shapes the products of the startups we partner with.
What you ship gets used, measured, and matters.Variety: new products, new features, new technologies throughout the year.
You'll never be stuck maintaining the same codebase for two years.Team: a close team of 20, Friday drinks, team events, exclusive merch, genuine startup energy.Location & presence: we're based in the heart of Brussels, next to Central Station and the Sablon.
We work primarily on-site to maintain our high-speed collaboration, with flexibility on a case-by-case basis, and one week per year can be worked remotely from abroad.
π How the process works
Full process in 2 to 3 weeks:
Initial screening call (30-45 min): your background, your motivations, and whether there's a mutual fit.Technical round:A case study to do at home (a few hours, no artificial time pressure).A technical review with the team at our office.Meet the management team (45 min): final conversation with the founders.
We give feedback at every step, including if it's a no.
