About the Company Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will will be responsible for medium and short-term mine planning whilst identifying areas for continuous improvement and overseeing a team of mining engineers. About the Role We are looking for a Senior Mining Engineer for an underground site in NSW, to provide leadership, technical expertise & planning direction, supporting safe, efficient and profitable underground production. This is a residential opportunity in regional NSW, where you are home every night and site is only a 15 minute drive away. Offering 10 hour days and a 9 day compressed work week. **Relocation assistance is provided for you & your family** Responsibilities Design and implement underground medium and short term mining plans.Deliver accurate plans, schedules and engineering reports.Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.Preparation of stope authorities, mining instructions & related documentation.Collaborate with geologists and other engineers to optimize mining processes.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.Monitor and evaluate mining operations for continuous improvement.Lead and supervise a small team of mining engineers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Required Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in mining software and tools.Previous experience in managing or mentoring mining professionalsExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.A valid Australian work visa Preferred Skills Experience with underground mining operations.Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
