Job Description As the first technical hire, you will build ClearStack’s platform from zero to one. Working directly with an ex-Blackstone founder, you'll own the architecture, backend, and deployment of tools automating complex treasury workflows for institutional investors. This role defines our technical foundation and strengthens our position as we head into fundraising. Location London, UK Why this role is remarkable Build from 0-to-1 with significant ownership, defining the technical roadmap and architecture for a platform disrupting manual private market processes.Partner directly with a founder from Blackstone, gaining deep domain expertise and visibility into the institutional investment and alternatives landscape.Secure substantial equity—ranging from a founding engineer stake up to 15%—at a critical pre-fundraising stage with high upside potential. What You Will Do Architect and build the initial product from scratch, managing everything from backend infrastructure to frontend implementation and automated data workflows.Collaborate on product strategy and roadmap, translating complex treasury and cash management problems into scalable technical solutions for institutional clients.Establish engineering best practices, deployment pipelines, and a high-performance culture as you eventually help scale the technical team from the ground up. The ideal candidate You have 3-7 years of experience in early-stage startups or founding engineer roles, with a proven track record of shipping production-ready products.You possess strong full-stack or backend capabilities and the ability to work autonomously across ambiguous, complex technical challenges.You have an exceptional academic background from a top-tier university or equivalent deep CS foundations that enable you to build robust, scalable systems.
