Job Description
Deployment: Automate the build, test, and deployment process to accelerate delivery, manual interventions and errors, and minimize advocate for high release frequency eg through feature toggling.Environment provisioning: Provision all necessary environments (eg development, staging, production) in a consistent, repeatable manner using Infrastructure as Code.Quality integration: Integrate security and quality checks throughout the CI/CD pipeline, in collaboration with the TA, to ensure secure and reliable releases.Infrastructure as Code: Develop scripts for configuration management, with reusability in mind.Implementation alignment and best practices: Ensure implementation aligns with architectural standards and guide engineers on best practices for logging, monitoring, and deploying code, ensuring solutions are production ready.Monitoring: Establish monitoring, analytics, and alerting capabilities, with the help of Test Engineers.Incident response: Diagnose and resolve production issues, both functional and technical, conduct root-cause analysis with the Software Engineers and Tech Lead, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Optimization: Optimize system performance and cost efficiency, through wise design choices and automation.Data-driven decision making: Promote continuous improvement by leveraging gathered metrics to support data-driven decisions.Suggested Performance Indicators: PM satisfaction.

Responsibilities
The DevOps engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure and production operational processes that enable the product team todeliver value quickly, reliably, and securely.
They work across the entire product lifecycle, collaborating closely with the PM, Tech Lead and Software Engineers to bridge the gap between development and production operations, engaging with the SA during the strategy and discovery phase, and working consistently with the BA, TA, and infrastructure teams.The DevOps engineer champions best practices in automation, monitoring, incident management and system optimization.
They ensure the product is scalable, capable of reliably handling production-level data volumes and workload, secure, production-ready and remains stable and available at all times, both from initial deployment and throughout upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
Automate code deployment to production.
Design and manage the technical architecture.
In collaboration with the TA, guide software engineers on production operational challenges and product observability, eg relevance of logs.
Monitor and ensure platform operability and efficiency.
Diagnose and resolve production issues, both proactively and reactively (L3 support), within a defined SLA.
Ensure environments are reliable, scalable, reusable, and secure.
